European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Discount chain Big Bazar is expanding from 120 shops to around 170 shops. The company has a highly diverse range of products, consisting mainly of personal care, cleaning and food products. In the coming months, Big Bazar is refurbishing 50 shops from the bankrupt Op=Op Voordeelshop to their own formula. Around 275 people will be employed in the new shops. It is not an acquisition of the bankrupt Op=Op Voordeelshop, former employees of the Op=Op Voordeelshop are able to apply for a job.
