Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
The US-based producer of synthetic fiber Universal Fibers has announced that it will create 250 jobs at its newly opened factory in Gorzów Wielkopolski, Poland, within the next years. The company has invested PLN 30.14 million (€7.07 million) in the factory equipment. The unit is also expected to be the main company’s distribution centre in Europe. The unit will specialise in the production of synthetic fiber for car upholstery, covering and carpets.
Universal Fibers is one of the global largest synthetic fiber manufacturer. The company was founded in 1969 in the USA.
