Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
The German global automotive and industrial supplier Schaeffler announced that 100 job vacancies for engineers will be created at its test center in Cristian plant (Brasov County) by the end of 2019. In 2012, the company inaugurated its own engineering centre in Cristian. In addition, the company has invested more than €500 million and last year the turnover was increased by 11.5 to over €475 million. Schaeffler entered the Romanian market in 2006 and has 5,000 employees at the Cristian plant. Globally, the company has over 92,500 employees.
