Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
The Polish producer of rugs and carpets Fabryka Dywanów Agnella has announced that it will create 100 new jobs at its production facility in Białystok, Poland. The company plans to invest PLN 50 million (€11.66 million USD 13.05 million) to expand the factory building three new production lines (the first one has been already launched, and the investment is expected to be finalised in mid-2020). As a result of this investment, Agnella’s production capacity will increase fourfold and the company will become one of the largest manufacturers of wool carpets in Europe. Fabryka Dywanów Agnella, subsidiary of Brintons Carpets, is the largest producer of carpets in Poland. The company is present on numerous foreign markets.
