Description
Fretlink, which has developed a platform that connects principals and carriers to simplify the delivery of goods on European roads, raised €25 million in a new fundraising campaign. This sum will enable it to recruit 100 people by the end of the year. The hires are for the headquarters in Paris and the opening of three new offices in Germany, Belgium and Poland. To date, Fretlink operates in 22 European countries and has 400 regular customers. The company works with 5,000 carriers, representing a total fleet of 200,000 available trucks. The platform mainly appeals to small carriers, which have only about ten or twenty trucks. The stakes are high since 25% of trucks run empty and 50% half full in France and throughout Europe. After having recorded a turnover of €1.4 million in 2017 and €15 million in 2018, the start-up is targeting €60 million in revenues in 2019. The company hopes to achieve a turnover of €200 million by 2020.
