Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
The oil drilling contractor Odjfell Drilling is hiring 200 employees offshore in Norway due to the expansion of the Norwegian fleet with two new semi-submersibles, Deepsea Nordkapp and Beacon Atlantic. The new jobs are within drilling, maritime and technical operations as well as administrative personnel to support the growing activity in the North Sea. The company started the recruitment process immediately and it will continue in the following months.
Odfjell Drilling is an international company with about 2,000 employees and operations in more than 20 countries. Following the new acquisitions, the Odfjell Drilling’s Norwegian offshore fleet consists of five semi-submersible drilling platforms. These are Deepsea Bergen, Deepsea Atlantic, Deepsea Stavanger, Deepsea Nordkapp and Beacon Atlantic.
