Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
The Vietnamese fast food firm Dang Investment Group (DIG), plans an extensive expansion in Czechia, creating at least 100 new jobs. DIG is trying to revive the concept of a classic Czech canteen where food is sold by weight. In 2019, it plans to open nine new canteens under the brand Multifood. The first Multifood canteen has opened in Ostrava's shopping centre Futurum, and a total of 90 canteens should open across the whole country in 2020. The company is also operating a network of 27 fast-food restaurants with Chinese or Vietnamese snacks under the brand Guty in shopping centres in Czechia, Slovakia and Poland.
