Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
The Swiss bank UBS has announced that it will create 350 new jobs at its UBS Business Solutions Poland in Zabierzów, which is located in the Kraków Technological Park (a special economic zone). The company plans to invest at least PLN 90 million (€20.88 million, USD 24.09 million) in the expansion of the centre. The project will envisage the expansion of the software department, the launch and development of IT services supporting IT infrastructure and IT production systems. UBS was founded over 150 years ago; currently, the bank employs over 62,000 people in 50 countries. In Poland, UBS has been operating since 2007. The bank has shared services centres in Kraków, Zabierzów and Wrocław. In Kraków region, the company employs 2,500 people.
