The French home improvement and gardening retailer Leroy Merlin has announced that it will create 160 jobs at its new store in Warsaw, Poland. The store is expected to be launched by the end of 2019. Leroy Merlin has been operating in Poland since 1994; as of February 2019, the company runs 62 stores employing about 10,500 people across the country. In 2018, the company announced three restructuring programmes: in April (120 new jobs), May (100 new jobs) and November (150 new jobs). In 2019, one restructuring event was announced: in February (160 new jobs).
