Description
The Spanish subsidiary of the Finnish technology company Nokia has announced a collective dismissal plan that affects 162 workers throughout Spain (17.7% of the entire workforce). The company adduces productive causes such as the robotisation of certain processes. The union UGT has expressed its disagreement, arguing the company will also relocate support and technical assistance to other European countries (Portugal, Hungary, Poland and Romania) and Research and Development departments to India and China. This new collective dismissal plan comes after the restructuring process carried out in 2016.
