Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
The Polish furniture company Kalmar has announced that it will create over 200 new jobs at its new production facility in Nowy Sącz, Poland. The company is looking for production staff as well as drivers. The factory, which is located in the Kraków Special Economic Zone, is expected to be operational in the second half of 2019. The investment worth PLN 30 million (€6.96 million) is expected to help the company to increase its sales four-fold.
Kalmar was founded in 1993. Currently, the company employs 180 people. The company specialises in the production of upholstered furniture which is exported to Germany, France, Switzerland, Belgium, Netherlands, Luxembourg, Czechia and Slovakia.
