Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
The bus transport company Go Ahead is hiring 100 people, as part of its operation of new bus routes obtained through public tender.
The new roles are for bus drivers, engineers, maintenance and operational support, supervisors and admin personnel. Most of the news jobs will be based in the company's Naas, Co Kildare depot.
The company notes that bus drivers will be offered paid comprehensive training, including post-training earning of up to €32,000 per annum, a contributory pension scheme, and overtime.
Go Ahead hired 425 people since acquiring several bus routes, formerly operated by Bus Eireann.
