Swiss-Swedish power and automation technology company ABB has announced that it will cut 40 jobs through a collective dismissal programme at its production facility in Przasnycz, Poland, by the end of May 2019. The conditions of the programme were negotiated with the local trade unions, and redundant workers will receive severance pay according to their seniority level.
ABB operates in 100 countries employing about 147,000 people worldwide. The company operates mainly in robotics, power, heavy electrical equipment and automation technology. The company has been operating in Poland since 1990. In Przesnycz, the company employs 335 people.
