Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Krones Hungary, a subsidiary of the leading European packaging and bottling machine manufacturer Krones AG, is building a new plant in the city of Debrecen. According to the plans, the production unit will begin its operation in September 2019.
By then, the company aims to hire 500 workers. To this end, the firm has launched a career and communication centre in the city and it has also established close links with the local university and vocational schools. The company is looking for CNC programmers, turners, milling machine operators, engineers, IT professionals, among others.
The Debrecen plant will be the first production facility of Krones AG outside Germany. The investment cost is roughly €48 million.
