Description
The German post and parcel delivery service Deutsche Post has announced the creation of 5,000 new jobs in 2019. Among those, there will be 450 new truck drivers, who will be trained and afterwards recruited by Deutsche Post. Furthermore, Deutsche Post plans to create 500 new partner branches and 1,000 new parcel stations. The company plans to invest a total of €150 million in automation and the expansion of its post and parcel delivery infrastructure in 2019 in order to improve the last step in the delivery process.
Previous restructuring took place in January 2019, when 130 jobs were lost.
