European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Componenta Främmestad has announced plans to dismiss about 100 people. The exact amount of redundancies is not set, but according to the trade union 118 staff will be affected, 100 engineers and 18 people in back office positions. The company works with adaption and set-ups of components within the heavy car industry. According to the union ombudsman, the main reason for the job cuts is that Volvo, one of the company’s biggest customers, will no longer have Componenta as a supplier.
