Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Baxter International, a multinational developer and manufacturer of pharmaceutical products, has announced it will dismiss 88-90 employees at its facility in Eigenbrakel, south of Brussels. The restructurings are part of an effort by the company management to improve competitiveness by increasing efficiency. Mainly white collar workers within the R&D department and International Support will be affected.
