In October 2018 's Heeren Loo, a care group, announced it would take over a complex from another organisation. It would be renovated into a complex with 50 apartments for people with a mental disorder and a center for daytime activities. The first 16 residents will move in during September 2019. For these first patient, 30 to 35 people will work at the new location in Geeuwenburg, after which more employees will be recruited to arrive at a total of around 100 people when the Geeuwenburg facility runs at full capacity. The precise timing is not clear, but the employment growth will start in September with the first 30 - 35 employees.
