Tile manufacturer British Ceramic Tile has entered administration which has resulted in the immediate loss of 313 jobs. The company which has sites at Newton Abbot and Cullompton in Devon, and Cleckheaton in West Yorkshire is understood to have lost a major contract resulting in the business's collapse. Of the job losses the vast majority are at the sites in Devon, with 270 being lost at Newton Abbot and a further 10 at Cullompton. The remaining job losses are in West Yorkshire.
