French home improvement and gardening retailer Leroy Merlin has announced that it will create 160 jobs at its new store in Katowice. The construction of the store, with an area of 10,000 square metres, is expected to be completed in April 2019.
Leroy Merlin has been operating in Poland since 1994; as of February 2019, the company runs 62 stores employing about 10,500 people across the country. In 2018, the company announced three restructuring programmes: in April (120 new jobs), May (100 new jobs) and November (150 new jobs).
