Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.

German discount supermarket chain Lidl has announced that it will create about 600 new jobs at its stores across Poland. The company has also raised salaries by 9.2%.
Lidl operates in every member state of the European Union, except Latvia and Estonia. In Poland, the company has about 670 stores and 9 distribution centres, and employs over 17,000 people.
In 2018, the company announced three restructuring programmes: in April (500 new jobs), September (220 new jobs) and December (200 new jobs).
