Alan, an insurance start-up, announced the recruitment of 111 employees in 2019 after successfully raising a further €40 million to ensure its development. Since its first fundraising in 2016, Alan has already raised a total of €75 million. Alan now generates €22 million in annual revenue and aims to achieve €100 million in revenue within two years. Alan targets the market of self-employed and SMEs with less than 400 employees. Alan now insures more than 27,000 people, compared to 5,000 a year earlier. The company aims to achieve a turnover of €100 million and cover 100,000 people within two years. The fundraising should enable the start-up to increase from 64 to 175 employees by the end of the year.
