Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Pharma industry company, GW Plastics, has announced plans to create 230 new jobs in Sligo. The new jobs are in the areas of production, quality, regulatory, and engineering. The job expansion in Sligo is enabled by new funding of €5.7 million from the company's American owners. The jobs measures are also supported by the Irish Government through IDA Ireland.
GW Plastics has been based in Sligo since 1988, formerly called Avenue Mould Solutions. As of February 2019, the company employs more than 1,200 worldwide.
