The Norwegian retail company Days Like This has announced that 300 jobs will be lost during the next 12 months due to closure of the brand’s 51 stores in Norway. The company has experienced economic challenges over several years; in 2017, it changed name from Vivikes to Days Like This in an effort to rebrand itself to a younger audience. A spokesperson for the company pointed out that fashion and textile are subject to severe pressure from online shopping. The company is part of the Varner Group, together with brands such as Dressmann, Cubus and Volt.
