European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Fedrus, the Belgian affiliate of the international construction company Fedrus International has announced a restructuring of their activities. In total, it intends to cut 103 jobs as the company will stop its production of zinc products and rely instead on units in Germany, France and Slovakia. In total 4 Belgian units are facing the reorganisations: Vilvoorde, Kampenhout, Deinze and Puurs. Of those, only Vilvoorde will be closed completely. The company management has stated it will try to reduce the amount of direct dismissals to a minimum and has started negotiations with the trade unions.
