Fedrus, the Belgian affiliate of the international construction company Fedrus International has announced a restructuring of their activities. In total, it intends to cutĀ 103 jobs as the company will stop its production of zinc products and rely instead on units in Germany, France and Slovakia. In total 4 BelgianĀ units are facing the reorganisations: Vilvoorde, Kampenhout, Deinze and Puurs. Of those, only Vilvoorde will be closed completely. The company management has stated it will try to reduce the amount of direct dismissals to a minimum and has started negotiations with the trade unions.
