Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Amadeus has announced the recruitment of 250 engineers and technicians to strengthen its research and development centre located in Sophia Antipolis and Villeneuve Loubet (Alpes Maritimes) on the Côte d'Azur. Amadeus, which is specialised in technological tools and solutions for tourism companies ( hotels, airlines, maritime tourism companies, travel agencies) also announced that it recruited 470 people in 2018.
The Spanish group employs nearly 4,200 people on the Côte d'Azur (compared to 2,800 in 2012). After a job reductions in 2006 (160 job cuts), several job creation announcements were recorded in the ERM database in 2012 (400 job creations), 2014 (200 job creations), 2017 (250 job creations) and 2018 (500 job creations).
