Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
The aircraft maintenance company, Sabena Technics, based at Dinard-Pleurtuit airport near Saint-Malo (Ille-et-Vilaine), plans to hire 250 people on permanent contracts, including 130 in 2019. Sabena Technics has three plants in France, in Dinard, Nîmes and Bordeaux. Sabena Technics is particularly looking for technician positions with a diploma level of the "bac pro" in aeronautics, completed by a year of specialisation. And also mechanics assistants, qualified aircraft mechanics. Sabena also recruits holders of a DUT in electronics or mechanical systems and those with a BTS in international trade or a professional degree in logistics.
The company employs 2,300 worldwide. A previous restructuring was recorded in 2012, when Sabena Technics announced 149 job cuts out of 617 positions.
