Heatrae Sadia has announced the closure of its factory in Norwich, in a move which will result in the loss of 204 jobs. The site which manufactures water cylinders and electric water heaters for the parent company Baxi Heating UK will close following the statutory consultation process and production of the items will be carried out at the firm's Preston premises. The timescale for the closure has not been reported, though will be confirmed as part of the consultation process. The local Member of Parliament has asked for the company to handle the closure in as sympathetic manner as possible.
