Description
The catamaran builder Fountaine Pajot has announced the recruitment of 150 employees by August 2019. With the acquisition in 2018 of Dufour Yatch, a builder of monohull sailboat, which is also based near La Rochelle (Charente), the group reached a turnover of €136.8 million on 2018. In 2018, the manufacturer has already recruited 150 new employees.
Clearly out of the shock wave of the 2008 financial crisis, the international yachting market is experiencing a sharp growth increase, which greatly benefits French shipyards, starting with the world leader Bénéteau, Vendée. With the Lagoon shipyards (Bénéteau, Bordeaux and Vendée) and Fountaine Pajot, the French companies are in a leader position in the offshore catamaran market.
