Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.

Kettler, a longstanding German manufacturer of toy cars and other sports and toy products, had to file insolvency in autumn 2018; however, in December 2018 it was taken over by the owner-run German investor Lafayette Mittelstand Capital. Lafayette announced plans to continue production and to keep 500 out of 700 workers; 200 workers will be dismissed and transferred to a training company. The new goal of the company is to modernize product development and production processes and to further internationalize the business.
