Description
German automotive product manufacturer Eberspächer is reducing staff in Nyköping, Sweden. The staff reductions are due to Eberspächer losing a significant delivery contract of emission control systems to a competitor.
In 2016, Eberspächer lost a large supply contract to a competitor. According to Eberspächer CEO Fredrik Zöögling, the effects of the lost contract are now starting to show, forcing the company to e.g. reduce staff at its site in Nyköping.
The first employees are set to leave the company in the middle of 2019. Eberspächer will discuss future organisational structures with the active trade union. Discussions are set to begin immediately.
