Description
Computer manufacturer Kaiam has announced that it is to close with the immediate loss of 310 jobs. The factory in Livingston employed 338 staff and had received a Scottish Government grant in 2014 to help relocate production from China to the UK. The administrators have retained 28 staff to explore the possible sale of the business. Those made redundant have been advised by administrators that they will not receive their pay due in December and will have to apply to the Insolvency Service for this money.
