Ethics in the digital workplace

The Mercantile Court of Oviedo (Asturias) has approved the liquidation of the mining company Minero Astur Leonesa, owner of the Cerredo mine, thus accelerating the collective dismissal of all its 177 employees. The economic compensation will amount to 20 days per year, with a maximum of 12 months. The court decision established 15 of January 2019 as the last day for a potential buyer to be found.
The Cerredo mine, in the southwest of Asturias, has been without electricity supply due to non-payment since May 2018 and a team of 30 workers have been performing maintenance and surveillance since then.
