Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Austrian automotive cable and electric systems producer KES (Kabelové a elektrické systémy) has announced that it will create 300 jobs at its new production facility in Wodzisław Śląski by the end of 2019. The factory will produce cable harnesses for the automotive and the electrotechnical industry and will operate in a three-shift pattern.
KES was founded in 1992 in the Czech Republic. As of December 2018, the company is part of Austria’s car headlights producer ZKW and employs about 1,600 workers.
