Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Polish furniture company Agata Meble has announced that it will create about 100 jobs at its new retail store in Zielona Góra, Poland. The unit is expected to be opened in the third quarter of 2019. Agata Meble (former Bytomskie Fabryki Mebli, a state-owned furniture company which was founded in 1952) is a private distributor of furniture and interior design accessories; the company has 26 large stores across the country giving access to products from more than 250 different manufacturers from Poland and abroad.
Previous business expansions took place in 2017 with the opening of a logistic centre in Rumia and in 2016 with the opening of two stores (one in Warszawa and one in Piotrków Trybunalski). These hirings resulted in the creation of 400 jobs in total.
