European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Sanitaservice ASL FG, the public company which provides services to the Local Health Centres (Aziende Sanitarie Locali) of the Puglia region, announced that the employment contracts of 100 agency workers, who have been employed for several years as ambulance drivers and technicians, will not be renewed.
The CEO of the company explained that this is due to the reform of temporary employment contracts adopted by the national government (the so called Dignity Degree, Decreto Dignità), which introduced a maximum limit of 24 months to the duration of temporary employment contracts.
