European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Gelsauga, a company providing support service activities to the main Lithuanian railway company Lietuvos gelezinkeliai, is to dismiss 555 employees at the beginning of 2019. Gelsauga will have to dismiss half of their employees due to the fact that Lietuvos gelezinkeliai will buy part of the services from other companies that have won recent tenders. Currently Gelsauga employs 1,050 employees. Gelsauga has been a subsidiary company of Lietuvos gelezinkeliai since 2007. It provides services such as facility management; maintenance of building systems; and security and cleaning services.
