The US industrial enterprise General Electrics has sold its gas engines division to the financial investor Advent International. As a result, the company’s subsidiary in Jenbach merged with its subsidiary in Waukesha to form a new brand called Innio. The company's headquarters will remain in Jenbach, where 100 to 120 jobs are to be created in administration and production. As of November 2018, Innio Jenbach employs 1,600 people including 100 apprentices. The joint company, Innio, operates in Austria, USA and Canada employing 3,000 people in total.
