Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
The missile manufacturer MBDA announced the recruitment of 120 to 130 employees in 2019 for its three production sites located in the Center-Val de Loire region: Selles-Saint-Denis (Loir-et-Cher), Bourges airport and Bourges Subdray. The group employs over 1,630 people in the region. The management states that it has recruited over 500 people on permanent contracts since 2015 in the Center-Val de Loire region. The company recruits engineers and specialized technicians. MBDA inaugurated two new buildings of 5,500 m² and 1,100 m² at its Selles-Saint-Denis site, in the Loir-et-Cher (280 employees), to accommodate the production of long-range Scalp and Exoset missiles for the French army. A job creation of 600 jobs was announced in 2017. The group employs about 10,000 people.
