Description

Moray Council has announced that it is to begin consultation over 136 job losses after plans were approved to make savings of more than 5 million GBP (€5.6 million). The council has said that it is committed to avoiding compulsory redundancies. The council has also announced that it will consult with the public over other measures designed to reduce costs, such as cutting some services and reducing library hours. The timescale for the job losses has not been reported.
