Description
The Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Lithuania, an institution that implements state economic policy, is to dismiss 176 employees in Vilnius by 27 January 2019. The main cause of the dismissals is internal restructuring of the institution. The Lithuanian Labour Exchange will develop a special prevention program for the dismissed employees to facilitate their integration in the labour market. Currently the Ministry of Economy employs 249 employees. The Ministry is responsible for handling government business in the following areas: business environment, investment, export, innovation and others.
