Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.

Telecommunications company Aerial Direct has announced plans to create 100 new jobs as part of its move to a new site between Southampton and Portsmouth. The firm, which is based in Fareham, Hampshire, will move to the new premisesĀ in late September 2018 and add the new jobs over a period of around 18 months. The company currently employs 220 staff, and although the reports suggest that 100 staff will be added, the new site does have capacity to house a total of 450 staff, should further growth necessitate recruitment of even more staff.
