Description
The Intermarché logistics platform in Erbrée (Ille-et-Vilaine) has announced the recruitment of 50 to 60 employees by the end of the year. The workforce is expecting to increase from 130 employees to 180-190 and up to 280 to 350 by the end of 2020. Therefore the site will recruit up to 220 employes by the end of 2020. In 2019, a new largely automated site for the logistics of frutits and vegetables will employ approximately 60 people.
The platform is experiencing recruitment difficulties related to the lack of knowledge of logistics trades and the low unemployment rate of the territory. The company had to recruit Romanian workers and is seeking employees from Poland and Bulgaria. The site prepares parcels for the Intermarché and Netto stores (140 points of sale for frozen products and 160 for fresh products). 33,000 to 38,000 parcels are currently prepared daily. The objective is to increase to 100,000 parcels / day at the end of the year.
