Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
The Air France subsidiary, Hop !, has announced a reorganisation of its activities to its central works council. Hop! will cut 120 positions, mainly in support functions. The information and consultation process on the Employment safeguard plan will continue until 19 December 2018. The unions have organised demonstrations on 17 September. The site of Morlaix (Finistère) should lose 23 positions after having already lost 66 positions during the merger of the three airlines Brit'Air, Airlinair and Regional, in 2016, to give birth to Hop !. The company will also close its Rungis site (Val-de-Marne). Employees could be reemployed at Nantes and Clermont-Ferrand.
