Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Swedish state-owned electric power company Vattenfall has announced a campaign to recruit 1,000 new employees in different sites in Sweden.
The recruitment campaign went into effect on announcement day and will go on until 15 December. During the campaign, Vattenfall is recruiting engineers, project leaders, service technicians and planners mainly to its nuclear power department, but also to other departments such as distribution networks and wind power. The campaign is aimed at employees with relevant working experience and recent graduates.
According to the company's HR-manager, the energy business is in a very competitive state with lacking supply of competent workers in many areas. He hopes that employees from different backgrounds and with different expertise find their way to Vattenfall.
