National mail company Magyar Posta Zrt. (Hungarian Post Limited Private Company) announced that it will cut 100 jobs during September and October, with the declared aim of reducing bureaucracy and increasing organisational efficiency. Management and administration jobs will be affected, mostly in Budapest. The logistical area and the post office network will not be involved in the dismissal – these areas already suffer from staff shortage.
The firm conducted prior consultations with the company council about the dismissal, and an agreement was reached on redundancy payments.
