Polish regional passenger train operator Przewozy Regionalne (PR) has announced that it plans to finalise the implementation of a voluntary leave programme in November 2018. So far, 1,248 employees joined the programme. The company revealed that further reductions of its employment capacity will not be necessary. Currently, Przewozy Regionalne employs 6,860 people. The programme is part of a larger restructuring plan of the company aiming at increasing financial effectiveness. As the source reports, despite the dismissal programme, the company managed to secure funds to increase salaries in 2018.
