Food manufacturer Cavaghan and Gray has announced that it will be creating 200 new jobs in Carlisle. The company, which is part of the 2 Sisters Food Group, will supply a range of products for Marks and Spencer including the gastropub and fish ranges. The fish products had previously been produced by the Young's Seafood owned Pinneys, which announced its closure earlier in 2018. Cavaghan and Gray will invest GBP 7 million (€7.81 million) to upgrade their facilities and production of the new lines is due to begin in January 2019. The timeframe for filling the new jobs has not been specified.
