Description

One of the biggest supermarket chains in the Netherlands, Jumbo, has opened a new distribution center in Raalte (east Netherlands) to deal with increasing demand for online ordered groceries. Online ordering and home-delivery of groceries present a rapidly growing market, showing revenue increases in 2018 of 66% compared to the previous year. The new E-Fulfillment Center (EFC) in Raalte will support the existing EFC in Den Bosch and is expected to create 550 new jobs over the next few years.
