European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
The Dutch media company, RTL is undergoing restructuring and as a result, 85 jobs will be lost, of which 44 are forced terminations of employment. The reorganisation involves the merging of several departments and the majority of the job reductions will fall among management, no journalists will lose their positions.
More job losses are expected to be announced later and will likely fall in the first quarter of 2019.
As of August 2018, RTL has some 800 employees.
